I managed to get a couple of photos of these great stretches. You can see why I like them so much.
There are issues one has while enjoying riding these wonderful routes. The dogs are always on alert and sometimes give you very good designated sprint points. You can also run into nasty fellows like the one in the picture below. Sorry for the picture quality but I was sweating pretty bad and couldn't get the lens on my phone very clean and I just didn't feel like I wanted to get much closer.
I hope I don't see any of his friends or family today. Other than the heat, the hills, and the snake. Oh, and the front tire blowout I had that I had to waste 5 minutes changing it was all in all a very good workout. You just never know what you'll run into, or over out here.
I know I promised I would discuss wheels and wheel types today but it would cut into my ride-time so I'll have to do that one at a later date.
Until next time,
May your wheels always be true,
the wind always at your back and
the road always just slightly downhill.
Ciao,
SuperFat
